Here you will find some of our
adventures around the globe. Since we first met in 1999 out
travels started in Boone, NC and have since taken us to Canada,
Paris, Rome, Florence, Venice, Tuscany, Pisa, Lucca, Lucerne, Hot
Air balloon festivals, seen the Pope (John Paul II), Salzburg,
Vienna, and the list continues to grow. We love to take photos
during our trips and I hope you browse and enjoy them as much as we
do.
This Hot-Air Balloon Rally (around 65 pilots)
is held every Memorial Day Weekend at
Point Mallard Park
in Decatur, Alabama. This Festival offers great activities and
experiences for the whole family including an Antique Car Show,
Antique Tractor Show,
Art Show and
Kite Festival.
Attendance usually averages between 50,000 to 100,000 for the
weekend. See

March 3 – Took
4:15 p.m. flight to Paris.
March 4 – After a long night on the plane, we arrived in
Paris at
6:40 a.m. – should have arrived at 6:30. Missed flight to Venice. Took
9:55 flight to Venice and arrived at 11:45. Took canal shuttle boat
to hotel (Casa Petrarca). We were exhausted from the

Well, the subways are the
nastiest I’ve ever seen. Much worse than anywhere in Europe. If
you are on a short trip, taking a cab or bus is the best way to get
around.
Cab drivers are rude to pedestrians. Even if you (the pedestrian)
have the signal to cross the road, they will still honk their horn
at you to get you out of the road. Read More

Got up at 4:30 am and took the 6:30 am Central Time flight out of
B’ham. Took connecting flight through Houston and arrived in
Portland at 11:30 am Pacific Time. Picked up rental car and headed
out towards the wine country from the Portland airport. The weather
